1.

POST

PILOT

 

Qualification

:

Certificate of Competency as Foreign Going Master class 1 unlimited as per STCW 1978 as amended.

 

Experience

:

Proven experience as 1st mate on foreign-going vessels.

or

Proven Pilotage experience of 5 years

 

Salary

:

Negotiable in the range of Rs 54,300- Rs 108,125

SKIPPER

 

Qualification

 

Certificate of Competency as Skipper of Fishing vessel of more than 24 meters in length issued by the Directorate of Shipping or Certificate of Competency (CoC 3) unlimited to serve as deck officer on cargo vessel as per STCW 1978 as amended.

OR

Certificate of Competency as Tug Master issued by the Directorate of Shipping

 

Experience

 

At least 2 years as a Skipper on a fishing vessel or 2 years as Officer of Watch on cargo vessels engaged in International trade.

 

Salary

:

Negotiable in the range of Rs 48,200- Rs 92,975

MARINE ENGINEERING OFFICER

 

Qualification

:

CoC (1) Marine Engineer Officer as per STCW 1978, as amended

 

Experience

:

At least 3 years’ experience not below the grade of 3rd Engineer on foreign-going vessels

 

Salary

:

Negotiable in the range of Rs 48,200- Rs 92,975

 

Other Benefits

:

Retention allowance (as determined by the Authority), gratuity and passage benefits

Note: Foreign Nationals will be eligible to a Disturbance Allowance and Rent Allowance, as per applicable terms and conditions.

 

AGE LIMIT

:

  • Applicants  must be 55 years of age or below as at  the closing date for submission of applications. This age restriction applies to candidates being considered for appointment under the permanent establishment.
  • The age limit requirement is not applicable to foreign nationals, who shall be engaged on a contractual basis only.
  • Consideration for contractual employment may also be given to local applicants above 55 years of age.

  1. The closing date for the submission of applications in respect of the above-mentioned posts is Friday 09 May 2025.
  1. Applicants should attach documentary evidence of qualifications and work experience claimed failing which consideration would not be given to the application.
  1. The onus for the submission of equivalence of qualifications from relevant authorities rests on the applicants.
